I came across a post at http://tomeoftreasures.com/forum/viewto ... 6807#16807 that was all about a game I used to play in 1991 called TrapRunner. I have long since lost the game via various moves to different cities and this is the first time I have seen it mentioned anywhere. Anyway, it said that "J. E. Draft" was the artist on that project. Through many searches, I finally found this site.

Is this the same J. E. Draft that did that project in 1991?

It is. :)

Good griefs, "Traprunner!" Bringing back the memories. If you're at all interested, I suppose I could cobble together a set out of the old boxes of product I have in the unused lavatory in the basement, in the locked file cabinet with the sign on it saying "Beware Of The Leopard..."

I would love to get it from you. I loved this game so much that I now own the domain name "traprunner.com". Right now, it is just an online arcade, but I will soon turn it into a RPG site centered around this game concept. Please let me know what you can do.

Well, I'm in Maryland right now, but i'll be home tomorrow night. Let me rummage around and see if I have enough of the pieces to put together a set. No promises!

I appreciate your time in this. I will hold you to no promises.

BTW, I notice that you are using "Free Forums" for your forums. If you like, I can set you up with as many forums as you like on TrapRunner.com. I use vBulletin software to run my forums. They are much more powerful than the phpBB that is running here. I can also give the forums a custom look so it looks like it is part of your site, including any header images or logos you want used.

All this for free, just because you are the artist from one my my favorite nostalgia games.

It's a pen-and-paper sci-fi game set in the near (by now VERY near) future. I (under a couple of pseudonyms) designed, wrote and illustrated it back in the age of stone knives and bearskins. It was a high-tech dungeon crawl, and the hook was that it had to be completed in under 60 minutes of real time or your character died.

Amongst all the rpg games I have played, (and I was among the beta testers for the original D&D game) I have NEVER seen a game I enjoyed as much as I did this one. I have a small group of friends and would jump at the chance to play this again.

Dude!

Found the last original book and also enough loose stuff to make a set (if I remember all that was supposed to go in it).

Send an email to jedraft@barbarianprincess.com and we'll haggle for it. :)
