I am confused. I watch the rankings on TopWebComics closely since I vote for several every day. In the last month or so comic rankings have fluctuated wildly. I am not sure why this should be, but it could be that so few vote just a few extra votes skew the results. More ominously it could be due to the fact that someone has figured out how to deliberately manipulate the votes, perhaps by multiple voting from several IP addresses. Perhaps someone can shed more light on this, as I am unable to explain how some very mediocre comics are ranked in the top 20 while others of superior quality have dropped drastically in recent weeks.

Maybe it's just the holiday season. People who normally vote every day are now away from their computers; people who normally don't spend a lot of time online have free time now and read comics. I'm sure the situation will stabilise after a while.
