A) There was a breakout and from the scenes we have seen, little to no chance of any Urrt escaping to give warning.
B) The Urrts are quickly blocking the entrance where the gas booby trap is.

This speaks of a plan with fallbacks. If the first one worked, then they wouldn't have escaped. Also, are we sure that was really Gorshash questioning Tula? Remember, he is supposed to be the UberUrrt for his generation. So was he tricked and killed so quickly or did he send in a stand in for himself?

We also don't know the linkage between Mentl and Shuach. Shuach may know a magical wild card has been added to the world and this is more of a test of what this wild card can do. Maybe throw in some testing of strength vs. the Moon goddess.

Aren't surprises fun?
